退職のご挨拶

さて、小生今月（2026年3月）をもちまして、放送大学を定年退職することとなりました。大阪大学に奉職して以来40年、そのうちの30年を千葉幕張で過ごさせていただきました。文部省放送教育開発センター、独立行政法人メディア教育開発センター、放送大学と所属は変わりましたが、研究室と内線番号はだいたい同じでした。その間、併任させていただいた総合研究大学院大学を含め、国内外の多くの方々の知己をえ、研究、教育、事業にご支援ご協力を賜りましたことに厚く御礼申し上げます。4月以降は、担当科目が継続しますため、2〜4年は客員教授として放送大学に籍を残していただくほか、専任として、新設の専門職大学院である教育テック大学院大学に教授として就任予定です。引き続き、よろしくご高配のほどお願い申し上げます。令和8年3月5日　山田恒夫

なお、今後も研究教育活動が継続することもございまして、退職にかかわる特別なイベントは予定しておりません。変わらぬご愛顧をよろしくお願いいたします。

Notice of My Retirement and Expression of Gratitude

I hereby wish to inform you that, as of March 2026, I will be retiring from the Open University of Japan upon reaching the mandatory retirement age. It has been forty years since I began my academic career at Osaka University, thirty of which I have been privileged to spend in Chiba-Makuhari. Although the names of my affiliations have changed over the years—from the National Institute of Multimedia Education to the Open University of Japan—my laboratory and even my extension number have remained largely the same.

Throughout this time, including my concurrent appointment at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), I have been fortunate to become acquainted with many colleagues and collaborators both in Japan and abroad. I am profoundly grateful for the generous support and cooperation I have received in the course of my research, teaching, and professional activities.

From April onward, as I will continue to be responsible for several courses, I have been granted the opportunity to remain affiliated with the Open University of Japan as a Visiting Professor for the next two to four years. In addition, I am scheduled to assume a full-time professorship at the newly established Graduate School of Management and Educational Technology, a professional graduate university. I would be most grateful for your continued guidance and encouragement as I embark on these next stages of my academic endeavors.
